Welcome to Swami Dayanand Education Foundation — a charitable organisation dedicated to empowering students through education and opening doors of opportunity for bright minds regardless of economic barriers.

Founded in 2015 by a group of passionate educators and philanthropists led by Mr. Ashutosh Garg, our foundation was born from a deep belief that talent should never be limited by a lack of resources. What started as a vision to support a few deserving students has grown into a beacon of hope for countless young scholars striving to fulfill their academic dreams.

To provide Merit-cum-Means Scholarships to academically talented students who cannot afford higher education, enabling them to pursue professional careers and lead meaningful lives.

We believe that when education is accessible to all, society becomes stronger — and progress becomes possible for everyone.

We support students through:

  1. Merit-cum-Means Scholarships across India — assisting students pursuing engineering, medical, IT, architecture, and other professional courses.

  2. Girls’ Scholarship Initiatives — reserving 30 % of awards exclusively for talented women to promote gender equity in education.

  3. USA Scholarship Programs — offering support for eligible students seeking higher education opportunities in Fort Bend County, Texas.

Ashutosh Garg

My family established the Swami Dayanand Education Foundation in 2014 with the sole objective of providing scholarships to deserving students to pursue a college education. It has been almost 12 years since we started this foundation.

Beginning in 2015 with scholarships for students at IITs and NITs, the program has steadily expanded to include medical colleges, professional courses, and eventually students across all disciplines in India. What started with 116 scholarships has grown to over 500 awards annually, guided by clear merit-cum-means criteria.

Founded in 2014, the Swami Dayanand Education Foundation supports deserving students through merit-cum-means scholarships. Starting with IITs and NITs, the program has expanded across India and the USA, awarding 1,100+ scholarships to date.
